Cyber Advance Scholarship

The Mastery Certificate in Networking Technologies is designed for students who want to start a career in Information Technology in roles such as Information Specialists, Network Specialists, and similar positions. 


The first course in this program, Information Technology Fundamentals, will prepare you for the CompTIA A+ exam, and the second and final course, Networking Technologies, will prepare you for the CompTIA Network+ exam. 


Through our current grant funding, the Information Technology Fundamentals course starting April 4th is fully paid for. Additional grant funding may become available to cover the cost of the Networking Technologies course as well.

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 program is the next iteration of the CMMC cybersecurity model. It is designed to enforce protection of sensitive unclassified information that is shared by the Department of Defense with its contractors and subcontractors by providing increased assurance that industry is meeting the cybersecurity requirements that apply to acquisition programs and systems that process Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). 


In this course, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge you need as a current IT professional to pass the Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) Exam.

Cyber Advance provides fully funded training pathways to prepare military service members, veterans, and first responders to transition into high-demand civilian cybersecurity careers. Immediate family members of first responders, veterans, and active military are also eligible for this program.


No prior experience in information technology or cybersecurity is required to be successful in this program. The training curriculum is designed to provide entry into the high-growth sector of information security, cybersecurity, compliance, and auditing, fields offering premium salaries for qualified candidates.

It's easy to apply for these funds — valued at $5,000 —which will provide you with a pathway to work in a field that provides a lifelong career with opportunities for growth. All you need to do is select whether you're a first responder, active duty military, veteran, or an immediate family member of any of those groups. There are no essays or questions to answer, and these funds with cover your entire mastery certificate program.


Once you submit your application, an RIT Certified representative will contact you within one week to confirm your enrollment if you qualify.
